Hey there fellow pool swimmers! Today we’ve got metals in our pool and we are going to tell you what we are going to do about it! Having to much metal in the pool can cause unsightly stains on your liner from metal staining. There are 2 things that cause this, alkalinity and pH. When we do not have enough of these 2 chemicals our pool will start to get hungry and eat our equipment, most commonly the heater. You MUST bring in a water sample to get the recommended amount of chemical for your pool size and amount of metals.
YOU MUST BRING IN A WATER SAMPLE TO AQUA-TECH TO GET THE RECOMMENDED AMOUNT OF CHEMICAL FOR YOUR POOL SIZE AND AMOUNT OF METALS IN YOUR POOL BEFORE YOU BEGIN!
Follow our steps to completely remove metals from your pool!
Step 1. Ensure that your skimmer basket is full of Dazzle Mega Tabs or Dazzle Protect Sticks.
Step 2. Dazzle Stain and Scale Cleanse goes around the edges of your pool. Pour around the edges of your pool!
SAND FILTER: Add Eliminator into the Eliminator Basket and put it into your pump basket. Keep it there for the duration of this season or, until the white fabric or the Eliminator has completely changed color.
Step 3. Broadcast Dazzle TA+ across the pool surface. You MUST wait 6 hours before proceeding to the next step.
Broadcast Dazzle pH Plus across the pool surface. You MUST wait 6 hours before proceeding to the next step.
Step 4. When all the applications in Step 3 are complete, wait 72 hours and bring in a follow up water sample to Aqua0Tech’s Lab.
PLEASE NOTE: It is vital to bring in a follow up sample is brought to the lab. It is not uncommon for the metal content to rise after the first application of correction products.
When the removal of the metals are successful, (usually 4-6 weeks) it is recommended to change or chemically clean your filter. Metal deposits in the sand will impair the efficiency of your filtration system.
