How much do swimming pools cost?

Pools range in price from $1,000 to $400,000 so here is a guideline to follow: We do not sell the inflatable blow up pools but they are usually in the $1,000 range.

Hey, if you’re not convinced your kids will use the pool or you want to spend less, then the kids can still get wet! Of course you pay for what you get so the filtration and cleaning systems will not be great.

Keep in mind that this style of pool will still require a fenced yard to meet code. (anything that holds more than 2’ of water) Steel and vinyl above ground pools range from $3,000 to $20,000 for the pool kit depending on options and size. If you need it installed expect to double the cost. Then there is the cost of the wooden deck to be one side or all the way around the pool. If you factor in the deck cost with installation on one of the larger above ground pools you can expect to invest close to $50,000 We have chosen not to offer above ground pools as of 3-4 years ago since we feel it’s a better investment to consider some of the alternatives below.

  • On-ground steel and vinyl pools have much thicker steel and vinyl liners than above ground pools. For this reason the steel and vinyl performs much better under Manitoba’s harsh winters. As an example, we could build for you a 14’ x 28’ oval pool for $33,136 including gas heat. (a site visit is always required to confirm the pricing) You still have to build a deck around this style of pool. However, Aqua-tech can handle building the deck as well if you wish.
  • In-ground pools can come with various options. We have a very affordable summer fun packages that will come with a concrete apron and gas heat. No deck to build on after as the examples above required. If we use the 14’ x 28’ oval size as comparison then this pool would cost $44,849. Most in-ground pools upgrade the options to include automatic pool cleaners, underwater lighting, UV water treatment etc. Then this same size pool ranges from $55,000 to $60,000.  with more deluxe options. FYI, our average contract price is around $80,000 as many folks also add additional patio or other options. The average price gets skewed up by the large jobs where we do the landscaping and fencing etc. which can be in the $150,000 range.
