BioFilm Removal (Aggressive)

The destruction of this organic plumbing issue is a process that requires patience and persistence. Please work closely under the supervision of Aqua-Tech’s Water Analysis Lab.

  1. Remove and dispose of your hot tub filter – it cannot be reused. Do the same with any bathing suits or toys that have been in the contaminated hot tub.
  2. Spray bleach onto the inside of your hot tub cover – let it sit for at least 8 hours. Rinse with clear water.
  3. Fill your spa to the highest level possible (almost to overflowing). This issue can exist in plumbing above the water line and we must reach it with the treatment. Ensure you have all diverters and valves set to allow circulation through all the hot tub plumbing.
  4. Add 3 Mineraluxe Cubes and 200 ml Dazzle Algae-60 to the spa water. Circulate the spa for at least 24 hours.
  5. Add 3 Jack’s Magic Super Paks to the spa water. Circulate the spa for at least 24 hours.
  6. Add 480 grams of Chlorine or Bromine Granules. Circulate the spa for at least 12 hours.
  7. Drain the spa.
  8. Refill the spa.
  9. Heat the spa to desired temperature.
  10. Bring a 1 litre sample of spa water to Aqua-Tech or analysis. Let us know you have just completed the removal process for biofilm.

DO NOT USE THE SPA UNTIL ADVISED TO DO SO AFTER THE ANALYSIS AND RECCOMENDATIONS!
