  1. Jody the Watchdog code could be caused by several scenarios/components: and overheat condition, blockage in the circulation line, a soiled filter, a bad temp and or hi-limit sensor, bad PWA, bad transformer and or a bad topside control. Because you are seeing the OH message followed by the Watchdog message and it sounds like the real temperature of the water is colder then the readout on the topside control you could have a bad temp sensor. If all else fails contact our Service Support Desk to book a diagnostic and repair of your 2009 Sundance Certa Spa.

  2. Well considering I live in Dryden, a service call isn’t really an option……all jets are working if I cut power and turn back on, but then flips back into OH error code and then – – -……..would appreciate some advice on what part to start replacing

    1. Jody if the display says OH and reverts to Watchdog —- and the actual temperature of the spa is colder then the topside readout you could have a bad temp sensor. The Watchdog message can also be produced by an overheat condition, blockage in the circulation line, soiled filter, bad hi limit sensor, bad PWA, bad transformer and or bad topside control. If all else fails contact our Sundance Service Support Desk to book a diagnostic and repair of your 2009 Sundance Certa Spa.

  3. I have a Jacuzzi J480. Lately I have been getting and OH code. It has 3 pumps, 1 circulation and 2 jet pumps. When the OH code kicks on one side of the hot tub jets stop working but the other side and the circulation pump work fine. It happens periodically. I would assume it’s just that side pump overheating but all my research said OH code is just for water temp being too high which is not the problem. Can the pump overheat and cause and OH code?

    1. Hi Samuel. If a pump overheats and transfers that heat to the spa water it could cause an OH. If the spa water temperature is the same temperature as your topside readout than the OH is being caused by another issue with the spa. Anything from inadequate flow to a faulty electrical component in the control circuit. If this is something you are looking to troubleshoot on your own we do provide a virtual troubleshooting service. $89.00 per 15 minute blocks. We also have stock of parts for the J480 if you need a part delivered to your location. Alternatively if your comfort level is 100% to troubleshoot I would suggest arranging for a qualified Jacuzzi Tech to service your J480 for you.

  4. That should say if I have both jet pumps off or one of the two on with the circulation pump on the heater is on. I guess the question is should the heater automatically shut off when all 3 pumps are running or is this an issue?
