A skin reaction to your hot tub is not an uncommon challenge. Some reactions are bacterial—this is NOT the treatment for that challenge. This process is designed to determine if and what product you may have a skin reaction to. If a reaction is determined, we recommend you see your doctor or dermatologist at that time with the information on treatment.
Heal your skin before getting started
Drain and refill your hot tub – please use a bottle of Cleanse and Drain before draining to remove any biofilm from the plumbing system as well as chemically cleaning your filter with Filter Revive.
Fill and heat the spa to 102 degrees F or cooler.
Use the spa for 20 minutes and note each and every reaction.
Wait 24 hours.
Use the spa for 20 minutes and note each and every reaction.

If there is no reaction, then we can move on to adding 1 TBSP of Brominating concentrate to the spa. Wait 10 minutes then use the spa for 20 minutes and note each and every reaction.
Wait 24 hours.
Add 1 TBSP of Brominating concentrate to the spa. Wait 10 minutes then use the spa for 20 minutes and note each and every reaction.

If there is no reaction, then we can move on to adding Mineraluxe Cube. Please add 2 cubes directly to the spa and 1 TBSP of Brominating concentrate to the spa (test the water before adding the bromine and only add it if the bromine reading is less than 3 ppm). Wait 10 minutes then use the spa for 20 minutes and note each and every reaction.
Wait 24 hours.
Add 1 TBSP of Brominating concentrate to the spa (test the water before adding the bromine and only add it if the bromine reading is less than 3 ppm). Wait 10 minutes then use the spa for 20 minutes and note each and every reaction.

If there is no reaction, then we can move on to adding Mineraluxe Oxygen. Add one pouch of Oxygen to the spa. Wait 8-12 hours. Then use the spa for 20 minutes and note each and every reaction.
Wait 24 hours.
Add 1 TBSP of Brominating concentrate to the spa (test the water before adding the bromine and only add it if the bromine reading is less than 3 ppm). Wait 10 minutes then use the spa for 20 minutes and note each and every reaction.
