I recently inherited a Pentair Mastertemp 125 pool heater. about 10 minutes after heater starts up it seems to start making a whistling sound and this will continue till the burner shuts off. I say burner because the burner shuts off and the blower continues to run but the whistling sound is not there when just the blower is running. Just wondering if this is normal for this type of unit?

Tim, you will want to first check the static gas pressure to the MasterTemp and then the running pressure. If these are not within the specifications of the owners manual you may need an adjustment made on your gas line size and or meter. If all else fails contact your local Pentair Service Support Desk to book a diagnostic and repair of your MasterTemp pool heater.
