Water temp

I refilled hot tub 3 weeks ago. temp never got past 27*. today it sits at 21*. This spring the flo switch casing cracked and I did a homemade fix. there are no error message on the screen (heat icon is on and the pump is flowing water through at a good rate) I replaced the temp sensor in the filter area and the water temp didn’t go back up. could this be a heater issue and needs to be replaced?

  1. Blair what make and model is your spa and what is the date built? All of this info can be found on the id sticker near the Sentry Control Box.

    1. Blair if the heat icon is on check for voltage with your multimeter at your heater output. If you have 240vac here your PWA should be good. If not then your PWA may be bad.
Check for current draw with your clamp on meter at one of the heater wires if you have 240vac at the output. You should have 22 to 25amps at a heater wire. If you don’t then you may have a bad heater. Check inside the heater at your thermal disc for continuity. Check the disc with the power off. If the disc is good you may have a bad heater. If the disc is bad replace it and test your heater wire again with your clamp on meter. The disc should be closed to be considered good. If all else fails contact our Service Support Desk to book a diagnostic and repair of your Sundance Altamar spa.
