Water heater for pool heating non stop

We have an inground pool. The heater is set at 80. The water is heating nonstop and can go up to 90 in the pool. Yet the heater is still showing 65. Any suggestions to fix? (The service heater light is NOT on.

  1. Lynn, it sounds like your thermistor may be inaccurate and not sensing the correct temperature at the heater.  If the heater control pad says 65 and your floating thermometer in your pool says a different temperature much higher ie 70 or 80 then consider that you may have a bad thermistor and it may need to be replaced.

If the control pad says 65 and your floating thermometer in your pool says 65 and the heater just continually stays on running but not heating the water you could have a different issue related to flow.

If all else fails contact our Service Support Desk to book a diagnostic of your Aqua-Tech swimming pool and Maxetherm pool heater.
