Pump not filling

Can you give me some items to check as my pump filter basket is not filling – the basket by the side with the heater etc….my filters are clean, water level is correct, pool filter is clean, there are no leaks, heather is working ….the pump is working but it just doesn’t seem to have enough power to fill up the basket. What can this be fro

Lynn you could check your pump impellor to make sure nothing has plugged it.
Also when filters become greased up they need to soak in a chemical degreaser. Simply rinsing them off is not sufficient.
It sounds like the filters are greased up. One way sure to tell is to remove them from the tank and briefly run the pool circulation without. If the pump fills up then you have found where the problem lies. If all else fails contact our Service Support Desk to book a diagnostic and repair of your swimming pool.

How do I check that pump impellor? I don’t see how or where I’d open it

Lynn, if your hand is small enough pull out the pump basket and dig inwards toward the pump motor. If the impellor is plugged you should see some debris float into the pot area. Alternatively you could release the silver ring holding the pump housing to the motor. This will split the pump in half and expose the eye of the impellor.
