hot tub water is warmer than display says

IWe have a Chelsee hot tub from 2010. The spa temperature is set to and reading 90 degrees on the display but our thermometer says 115 and the water is very hot. What can we do?

    Dina you could cool the spa by opening the cover by half and adding some cold water to the filter compartment (this is where the temp sensor is located). If the spa heats up far past the set temp again you could have a bad temp sensor. A partially plugged filter, circ pump and or circ pump line could also cause an overheat condition.
