is there a pilot light on heater? Gas had to be turned off… Service heater light is on… Is there something we can do to avoid service costs?

    Hi Cathy. The Maxetherm is electronic ignition and has no standing pilot lite. The service heater lite can come on for variable reasons. If the heater does not have adequate gas supply or has no gas supply at all the service heater lite could be produced. A soiled set of system 3 filters could cause the pressure switch to not close and this could also produce a service heater lite. These are just two scenarios that could produce the service heater lite. They are also two things you could check out on your own.
