FL 1 error

Fl1 error on Sundance Palermo spa. Tried to run without filter. Changed flow switch. The most encouragement came when trying to purge air bubbles with hose. The temp light would light for a brief moment and then go out again with same error. Continued to try thinking if we do this long enough it will finally clear. Again, the temp light would stay on sometimes for a long moment, but error would always return. Would appreciate any help!

  1. Brenna what is the serial number of your Palermo spa. This can usually be found on the id label near the Sentry Control Box.

      1. Brenna on the 2006 Palermo you have 3 suction grates in the footwell of the spa. Between two of the large grates will be a small grill. This is your circulation jet. Put your hand in front of this grill with the circ pump on. If you don’t feel much flow here remove your filter and check again for flow. If you still don’t fill much flow you may have and air lock or a plugged circ pump or circ pump line. The heater icon light coming on sporadically sounds like you could have an air lock. If you loosen the clamp on the hose to the side of the circ pump til you hear air and see water come out of it and then reconnect the hose this usually would aleviate and air lock. You would want to ideally do this while the pump is running.

Hello. I have a sundance 2008 cadence hot tub. The fl1 light came on and the waterfall isn’t working and not heating tub. I cleaned the filter, put hose water pressure where I was supposed to with the rag then drained tub. I opened all the little tubes and put then back together and filled tub back up. It’s still on. Am I supposed to slightly open the nut to the pc pipe to let the air flow?
