We have struggled since opening the pool to get things the way they should be. continue to struggle with keeping chlorine and getting pH up. Can’t get rid of the cloudiness and now the pool is slimy no matter what we do. During the last month have put in two full containers of pH up, doubled the pucks, added liquid chlorine, stabilizer, algaecide, etc. and still show low to no chlorine and low Ph. What can we do?

Hi Aileen:
The first and most important thing to do is to take your water in for a full lab analysis. There are so many parameters that we test that a home test kit simply cannot answer and one or more of these things being out of balance can certainly cause this challenge you are having and be really frustrating.

The other thing to do is to make sure you have CHEMICALLY cleaned your filter – this can lead to the same struggles you are having. If you have never done this before, there are many articles in our support section.
