Can not get hot tub GFI to go on after changing the water.

I changed the water in my Maxxus hot tub yesterday. After filling it with water I started all the jet pumps and ran them for a minute or so (turning them on and off several times). All seamed to be functioning fine. This morning I went to check to see if the tub had heated up and the LED screen was blank (no power). I checked the GFI and it was tripped off. I tried several times to flip it back on unsuccessfully. I checked my in-house hot tub breaker and it appears to be functioning correctly. The timing of it’s failure is suspicious since it was directly after changing the water. Can you tell me what the problem could be? Would having the water level too high have anything to do with it? It is just above the bottom of the head pillows.

  1. Ross having the water level to high could have an affect if the water or moisture penetrated the equipment bay and got into one of the load devices ie ozone unit, pump motor, blower motor etc. If you follow the topic in our community under Common Problems “Hot tub spa gfci breaker is tripping” it will give you some other areas you can investigate into. If all else fails contact our Service Support Desk to book a diagnostic and repair of your Sundance Spa.
