Cameo lighting

Some of my cameo lighting has stopped working. I traced it back to just one of the zones on the control board not sending power anymore. I believe I’ll need a new board. I would like to know if you think a faulty led could short out that zone of lighting or what could cause this. So wheb I put a new board it it wont happen again.

  1. Jeff a faulty LED usually would not take out a complete blue DCU box but it could take out a zone. Find one port on one zone that you know works good for sure. Usually this would be whatever port your underwater footwell light is plugged into. Disconnect all LED’s and plug each one into this port individually. Carefully monitor whatever light you have plugged in to see if it is dark, no light at all, missing a color or flickering. If you see any of this then you know it is a bad LED and you should leave it unplugged and singled out for replacement. If you have multiple bad LED’s and have run out of good zones/ports to plug in the replacements you can purchase a Expansion blue DCU box. This would eliminate the need for replacing the Main Blue DCU box. DCU’s and Expansion boxes are available at our store and or online at http://www.aqua-tech.ca.
