Project Challenge
The homeowners’ existing pool was simply too large for their backyard—they love to entertain guests and needed a larger area to do so. The designer’s goal was to increase the patio space to accommodate very large family gatherings while creating a dramatic feature that could be seen and heard not only from the patio but also the main sitting area in the home. The overall maintenance requirements were reduced at the same time.Stunning Final Product
The Aqua-Tech design group leveraged some of the stone work that they rely on for custom bathroom and kitchen renovations. Cambrian Black Granite was used to create a 32 foot long, 3 tier, 5 foot high water feature that includes 5 Sleek sheer descents. The feature operates through an automation system allowing full control of all colour selections. The body of the pool was not changed to allow the cost to remain within budget—although 35% of the original square footage was removed to increase the patio space. Before Stunning Final Product
An auto cover designed to operate directly up to the water feature was installed to reduce maintenance in the well-treed yard. This works alongside a seasonal safety cover that allows the pool to be closed in the fall while still being able to have the Thanksgiving BBQ with a clean patio and pool space. Before After After After After After After After After After After After After After After After After After After After After After After After After After After
