All About UV Systems!

What is a UV System?

UV systems use ultraviolet light to destroy microorganisms, pathogens and bacteria without adding chemical to the water. UV is a more environmentally friendly approach to water care, which also saves you money in the long run. When you are using UV, your pool requires significantly less chlorine because there is less bacteria to kill!

Benefits to Using UV:

  • use less chemicals in your pool
  • save money
  • kill harmful bacteria, pathogens, toxic by-product from other chemicals, small bugs
  • environmentally friendly
  • low maintenance
  • sparkly clear pool

Will I Still Need to Use Chlorine?

Yes – no matter WHAT pool system you are on, you’ll always need to use a sanitizer (chlorine, bromine, salt). When you use UV, you use WAY LESS chlorine, because the UV system is already killing harmful things, so you won’t need to replenish your chlorine as often!

What Kind of Maintenance Do They Require?

The only maintenance UV systems require, is just changing the bulb every 3 seasons!
